Jungkook Decorates Rolling Stone UK Cover
“I want to be an artist without boundaries”
Jungkook, a BTS, decorated the cover of the February 2026 issue of global magazine Rolling Stone UK. The pictorial is published in different print versions in the UK, Japan, and Korea, and is also released in the form of digital covers in India, France, Brazil, the Philippines, and China.
Through this cover story, Jungkook conducted his first and only solo interview this year. The interview took place at a sun-filled studio on New York’s West Side, shortly after his surprise appearance at the Calvin Klein 2025 S/S show during New York Fashion Week.
Jungkook said at the meeting, “I started putting my well-being first,” and confessed the story of the process of becoming an adult and new music.
“I want to be an artist who makes flow without being dragged”
Jungkook said this about the identity of the artist he is aiming for.
“I’ve always sought change. I want to create a flow rather than be dragged into it. I don’t want to be stuck in a rut. I want to be an artist without boundaries.”
He also mentioned his first solo debut song “Seven (feat. Latto)” that swept the global charts.
“At the time, everything was bothering me. But I wanted to be back on stage because of ‘Seven.’ It was a really affectionate song and I had confidence on stage, but the reaction was much hotter than I expected. It gave me more confidence.”
He gave an honest answer to the question, “Do you feel closer to yourself?”
“I don’t think I’m much closer to myself yet. But just being asked that makes me feel like, ‘I need to love myself and take care of myself more’. I think exercising and maintaining a healthy routine are part of that self-love.”
The new music work that follows is as follows.
“Now is the time to test whether we can make another leap forward. Rather than repeating similar performances and similar songs, we are evolving by continuing to try new things. I want to show you a variety of things.”
